Once upon a time there were four boys, companions in everything, who decided to protect a helpless boy tormented by the school bully. Their action marked a decisive change in their lives. A change so great that it would take them twenty-five years to understand its importance... Now they are adults, with more problems and more disappointments, but once a year they meet to hunt in the woods of Maine. This year, a stranger enters their cabin and, stunned and confused, babbles incomprehensible phrases about strange lights in the sky. In a short time, the four friends find themselves in the middle of a terrifying struggle against beings from another world.
