How to be happy

An irresistible novel that urges us to enjoy every moment.

TWO VERY DIFFERENT WOMEN AND A COMMON PROJECT:
100 HAPPY DAYS

Annie hates her life. She doesn't like her job, sharing an apartment, or having to go back to square one at thirty-five. She is recovering from a terrible loss and doesn't want to talk about it.

But everything changes when she meets Polly. This cheerful, lively, eccentric, and frankly intrusive young woman has just received news that has made her aware of how valuable every second of our lives is, and she is convinced that we must be happy at all costs. To do this, she asks Annie to join her on a mission that will last a hundred days, during which every day, each of them will do something that makes her feel happy.

Little by little, Annie will begin to open up again to love and friendship, and will discover that perhaps it is possible to find joy again, whether in great triumphs or in small things.

Reviews:
«Sensitive and charming.»
Kirkus Reviews

«A deliciously addictive novel, despite Polly's inevitable end. Polly is a wonderful character, she has an infectious positive attitude, memorable and magnetic, and a good dose of dark humor. Joy is there all the time, even if it's soaked in tears, because this novel is a life lesson that should not go unnoticed.»
Publishers Weekly

«Simply irresistible... Woods will appeal especially to fans of Graeme Simsion, Gabrielle Zevin, and Marian Keyes.»
Library Journal

«A sympathetic, intelligent, wise, and bittersweet read about love, life, and friendship. It makes you stop and think long after you've turned the last page.»
Tasmina Perry

«A moving and at times funny book that will surely make you see life and everything around you differently... A wonderful read.»
Alice Peterson

«A book full of beautiful lessons about love, loss, friendship, and redemption... A perfect feel-good read. A warm, funny, and thoughtful novel that is all heart and emotion.»
Lori Nelson Spielman, author of The Life List

Readers have said:
«This story absorbed me from the first page, made me feel very close to the characters, and kept my heart on edge until the end. I used a whole pack of tissues while reading it, but it also made me laugh out loud and made it very clear to me that life is what you make of it.»

«Everything I could ask for in a story that urges you to live in the moment and be aware of the importance of friendship.»

«A great cathartic read that perfectly balances entertainment and the importance of living life to the fullest.»

«The cast of characters is wonderful and very diverse, and the plot, a clever story of healing and friendship. Eva Woods skillfully blends pain and joy in this inspiring novel that will remain in the hearts and minds of its readers long after finishing it.»
