The monk

Kinh Tam is a young Vietnamese woman whose parents force her into an arranged marriage. Raised with the traditional values of an aristocratic family, she dares not disobey her parents and tries to adapt to her new married life with a man she does not love. However, Kinh's destiny is different, and her great spiritual calling eventually prevails. One day, after a fierce fight with her family, she decides to leave home to enter a monastery under a new male identity. From that moment on, she will no longer be a married woman, but "the monk."
