His recent wife, Princess Sarene of Teod, believing him dead, is forced to join the life of Arelon and its new capital, Kae. Meanwhile, the ambassador and high priest of another neighboring kingdom, Fjordell, will use his political skill to try to dominate Arelod and Teod with the purpose of subjecting them to his emperor and his god.

Brandon Sanderson debuted in 2006 with Elantris, an epic fantasy novel that marked a true milestone. On the tenth anniversary of its publication, Nova re-releases it in this special edition, which allows us to recall and discover the beginnings of an author who, since then, has garnered eight million followers worldwide, confirming his status as heir to the throne of an entire genre.

This new version, converted into the author's definitive edition, begins with a preface by Dan Wells, the first person to read the complete manuscript, and a new prologue by Miquel Barceló, his first editor in Spanish. It closes with an epilogue in which Sanderson himself tells us why he wrote this novel and its importance in the Cosmere, the fascinating universe shared by most of his works. An expanded version of the "Ars Arcanum" appendix is also included, with more technical details about the magic of a mythical book for its legion of readers.
