DETALLES

in the shadow of the rainbow

Bay is a blank slate. She doesn't remember her home nestled in the red dirt of Western Australia, nor that her garden is on the Ningaloo coral reef. She has forgotten that she fought to save the oceans and that humpback whales were her family. She doesn't recognize the faces that now look at her. Not even Scott's, although they say she used to sigh over him. Her mother is a mystery, and of her father, she only has a few photos and many books with his oceanographic knowledge left. Even so, she must take charge of his marine tourism business in Exmouth. Jude works there, and even though he is now just a stranger, she feels that something more united them than he pretends. In her attempt to draw a past erased from her mind, she will encounter multiple versions of who she was, hidden truths, and hushed secrets. But Bay is determined to put all the pieces together to reclaim her life. Because when there is nothing to look back on, there is still a horizon to move towards. A wonderful story, one of those that gets under your skin, settles in your heart, and stays there to live.
