Eagles at War (Eagles of Rome 1)

First installment of the trilogy «Eagles of Rome», the historical saga that narrates one of the most relevant events in the history of the Roman Empire.

Time of revenge

Year 9 AD, border with Germania: near the Rhenus river, a Roman centurion, Lucius Tullus, prepares to go on patrol with his soldiers. On the opposite side of the river, the Germanic tribes resent the heavy tributes that are about to fall upon them. Tullus suspects there may be a revolt. And he knows that the survival of his men will depend not only on their discipline and training, but on his own leadership ability.

Time of war

What neither Tullus nor his superior, Governor Varus, know is that facing them is also the charismatic Arminius, a former ally of Rome, who has long been plotting how to drive the Romans out of the lands east of the Rhenus.

Time of death

As Varus' legions prepare to leave the camp, thousands of Germanic warriors, led by Arminius, gather in nearby territories. Eager to free themselves from the Roman yoke, the tribesmen sharpen their weapons and prepare their deadly assault.
