The path of spirituality
This book is an investigation into the relationship of the individual with the intangible, with the transcendent, stripped of all belief and prejudice; spirituality posed as a path and not as a goal. Reaching the top and continuing to climb is the metaphor Sufis use to speak of spiritual development, enlightenment, and transcendent life. In this book, the author proposes that after having achieved a less dependent attitude, after having developed our capacity to love and having been able to face losses and grief, after giving meaning to our search for happiness and deciding to try to become wiser every day, we embark on the ultimate challenge: connecting with the most essential and elevated part of our being, exploring the plane of our spirituality. Many have tried to appropriate the spiritual path, proclaiming that they know its meaning and its steps, but in this book we will find none of that. The author starts from a more open and much broader concept: the search for the essence of each person, those aspects that are beyond our self-definition, far from possessions and titles, beyond achievements and success. As the author himself states, when the goal of our path is the search, the simplest and most important thing is to start walking. |
