Count Dracula is one of the most famous literary characters of all time and the fruit of the imagination of Irish author Bram Stoker (1847-1912). An immortal vampire leaves the dark corners of his castle in Transylvania to embark on a macabre adventure in England, leaving death, fear and forever changing the lives of all those who cross his path. He makes his first appearance in the pages of the eponymous novel, "Dracula" (1897) and soon awakens in the universal public a ravenous appetite for vampiric legends, inspiring in turn numerous imitators and leaving behind a cultural legacy that would reach our days. Bram Stoker wrote other novels and short stories, before and after "Dracula", and although they did not reach the same level of fame, in them he demonstrated a mastery of diverse themes and genres. In the present volume, accompanying his masterpiece, "Dracula", are nine of his best horror stories, full of his characteristic gothic atmosphere and perfect settings to explore the limits of human horror. It contains unpublished illustrations by Alejandro Díaz. Technical detailsPages 540 Year 2019 Format 15 x 23 cms. Hardcover About the author |
