Gazelles that eat lions

How far are you willing to go for your dream?

Alicia dreams of becoming an actress. She packs her bags and moves to Paris.
In the city of the Seine, she meets Lisa and Aurore.
And what starts as a dream turns into a real nightmare.

With a fresh and brilliant style, Agathe Cortés takes a real-life situation of harassment in the theater world to recreate Alicia's descent into hell. Gazelles that Eat Lions is a masterful lesson in female empowerment and resilience. A story of friendship, jealousy, overcoming challenges, eating disorders, conventions, and labels. An emotional novel about the power of friendship between women and love in the broadest sense of the word.

«The apartment looked beautiful. My mother gave me a big smile. Paris, c'est Paris, she whispered to me. Only the final and most important touch was missing: the theater. I said goodbye to her in front of the taxi and we held back a few tears. I stayed in the street until the vehicle disappeared in the distance. [...] I was alone, with my leather jacket, red lips, and in the middle of the French capital, two days before starting what I most longed for, up to now the most exciting and painful part of my existence.»
