Wounded with wings
Have you ever felt out of place, even in your own skin? Ava knows well what it's like to be different. At 16, she is a victim of a brutal fire in which she loses her parents, from which she survives, but which leaves her body covered in scars and burns that disfigure a face she no longer recognizes. After a year of recovery, it's time to go back to high school, but Ava fears her classmates' gazes, she doesn't want to see in them the reflection of what she is now: a disfigured girl who only wants to disappear. But high school is not the hell she imagined. And it is that, after the fire, beyond the pain, there is room to heal the wounds. And along the way there are also friends with whom to laugh at herself again, see the good side of things and -above all- learn to love herself as she is. Sometimes we just need to remember that even the deepest wounds heal. |
