Following the Shogun’s death, a terrible struggle between clans for power erupts in the Shima Empire. To prevent civil war, the Lotus Guild conspires to restore the Kazumitsu dynasty.

As Yukiko’s abilities grow beyond her control, so do the nightmares of Kin, the Lotus Guild rebel who aided the thunder tiger.

The rebels plan to assault the Shogun’s palace before the new dynasty can begin, but, from afar, an unexpected enemy will take advantage of the Empire’s weakness to strike a mortal blow to it and all its inhabitants.
Yukiko and Buruu must fly across stormy oceans to the black crystal islands, where rivals who do not fear the thunder tiger's claws and will not fall to any katana await.
