The truth witch

In a continent ruled by three empires, some are born with "witchcraft": a magical ability that sets them apart from common mortals.

Safiya is a Truthwitch: she has the power to discern if someone is lying. It is a highly coveted gift and many would kill to possess it, especially nobles. So Safi must keep her power hidden if she doesn't want to be used as a pawn in the struggle between empires.

Iseult, a Threadwitch, can see the invisible bonds that connect the lives of those around her, all but those in touch with her own heart. Her friendship with Safi has taken her from being an outcast to living incredible adventures in which she always acts impulsively.

Safiya and Iseult just want to live their own lives, but a war is about to engulf the Witchlands. With the help of the cunning Prince Merik (a Windwitch who is also a privateer), the two friends must flee from a relentless Bloodwitch blinded by his thirst for revenge and confront emperors, princes, and mercenaries who will stop at nothing to capture a Truthwitch.
