A highly contagious virus destroys memory and brings society to the brink of collapse.

After years of research, Dr. Steadman is about to taste success and be hailed as the creator of the cure for Alzheimer's. It doesn't matter if, to get there, he took an enormous risk that could end humanity. A global catastrophe. In a few days, millions of people worldwide lose their memory due to an unknown and highly contagious virus. Without memories, men and women behave like animals, driven by hunger and fear. Cities are on the verge of collapse, without electricity, running water, or food. Only a few seem immune to the contagion and take refuge in their homes, awaiting a miracle.

Jamie Abbott, a neurosurgeon who participated in the research, embarks on a long journey with his daughter, one of the first infected, to collaborate on an effective cure that can stop the pandemic.

The world has become an inhospitable and very dangerous place; Dr. Abbot's only hope is that there is still someone out there who remembers what makes us human. Because when all certainties vanish and memory evaporates, it is necessary to unite forces and act before civilization becomes a tabula rasa.
