The FBI has removed Porter and his team from the Anson Bishop (the killer from The Fourth Monkey) case, who soon face a new series of murders: after being missing for three weeks, Ella Reynolds' body appears in a pond in Jackson Park, even though the water froze months ago. Furthermore, she is wearing the clothes of another young woman who disappeared just two days ago.
