la vida invisible de addie larue

A life no one remembers.

A story you will never forget.

After making a deal with the devil, Addie trades her soul for immortality. However, no Faustian bargain is without consequences: the devil will grant her the immortality she so desires, but will take away something she will long for throughout her existence: the possibility of being remembered.

Addie leaves her small hometown in 18th-century France and begins a journey that takes her all over the world, as she learns to live a life where no one remembers her and everything she owns ends up lost or broken. For three hundred years, Addie LaRue will be nothing more than the muse of numerous artists throughout history, and she will have to learn to fall in love anew each day, and to be forgotten the next morning.

Her only companion on this journey is her dark demon with hypnotic green eyes, who visits her every year on the anniversary of their pact. Completely alone, Addie has no choice but to confront him, understand him, and perhaps, beat him at his own game.

But one day, in a used bookstore in Manhattan, Addie meets someone who turns her world upside down... For the first time, someone remembers her.

Will this be the end of Addie LaRue's life? Or will it just be an ellipsis?
