Call Me by Your Name was awarded the Lambda Literary Award, Best Book of the Year by The Washington Post and Publishers Weekly, and is the novel on which the film Call Me by Your Name is based.

In a town on the Italian coast, during the 1980s, Elio's family established the tradition of hosting young students or creators in the summer who, in exchange for accommodation, would help the head of the family, a university professor, with his cultural commitments.

Oliver is chosen this summer, a young American writer who soon excites Elio's imagination. Over the following weeks, the hidden impulses of obsession and fear, fascination and desire will intensify their passion.

André Aciman nació en 1951 en Alejandría, en el seno de una familia judía sefardí de origen turco. Formado en la Universidad de Harvard, ha sido profesor de Literatura Comparada y de Escritura Creativa en el Bard College y en las universidades de Princeton y Nueva York. En cuanto a su labor creativa, es muy conocido como ensayista y estudioso de la obra de Marcel Proust. En 1996 vio la luz Lejos de Egipto, un libro de memorias sobre su infancia y adolescencia que mereció el prestigioso Whiting Award. Posteriormente publicó la recopilación de ensayos False Papers: Essays on Exile and Memory, la novela Ocho noches blancas y participó como coautor y editor en las obras Letters of Transit y The Proust Project. Alfaguara ha publicado Variaciones Enigma (2019); Llámame por tu nombre (2008), su primera novela, llevada al cine con gran éxito por Luca Guadagnino y que obtuvo el Lambda Literary Award y la distinción como mejor libro del año de Publishers Weekly y The Washington Post; y Encuéntrame (2020), su esperada secuela. Homo irrealis es su último libro.
