At the mercy of the elements, haunted by memories and with no other company than Crake's Children, those green-eyed beings who consider him a kind of prophet, Snowman wonders how everything could have changed so quickly and embarks on a dual journey into his past and into the high-tech bubble created by Crake, the place where it all began.
