In the so-called Veromundo, the world after the Great Tremor, Effie Truelove and her friends -the wizard Maximilian, the witch Raven, the healer Lexy, and the warrior Wolf- are forbidden to do magic, possess magical objects and, of course, travel to the Afterworld. When Effie is expelled from school for not respecting these rules and her father confiscates her trinkets, the girl wonders how to get back the life she loves so much.

The opportunity arises when Raven hears a rumor that Skylurian Midzhar plans to burn all copies of the popular book The Chosen Ones in a public ceremony. Outraged by the news, Effie sneaks back to the Afterworld to save her precious Great Library and protect Dragon Valley, unaware that these evil plans foresee ending her.

In this continuation of the adventures of Dragon Valley, the five protagonists will discover the true nature of their powers and explore different paths to understand the new world in which they live.
