An American football player gets one last chance to play in Italy, where unsettling, delicious, and incredible surprises await him.

Rick Dockery is a mediocre American football player who, at the twilight of his career, is still marked by being responsible for the worst fiasco in his team's history. Tired of the mockery from the press and the hatred from fans, when he receives an offer from an Italian team, he doesn't hesitate to head to Parma.

At first, he struggles to adapt, but little by little he develops a liking for the Mediterranean lifestyle: opera, good wine, tiny cars... And being the undisputed star of the team isn't bad either. But pleasant surprises can end (or not) when a beautiful young American woman crosses his path.
