What is politics?

We recover one of Hannah Arendt’s most cherished books, a privileged space to learn about the thought of one of the greatest political theorists.
Two events in the 1920s profoundly marked Hannah Arendt's political thought. The first she called the «philosophical shock»—the philosophy of existence of Jaspers and Heidegger—and the second, the «reality shock»—the consolidation of the National Socialist movement in Germany, the rise of totalitarianism. Both experiences set in motion her need to understand, an incessant attempt to translate into the language of experience the dangerous and often brutal clash of modern man with facts.
