The galaxy is a gilded age. Brave hyperspace explorers push the boundaries of the Republic to the furthest stars, worlds thrive under the benevolent leadership of the Senate, and peace reigns across the galaxy, defended by the wisdom and valor of the fabled Force-users known as the Jedi. With the Jedi Order at the height of its power, the free citizens of the galaxy trust in their ability to weather any storm. But even the brightest light casts a shadow, and some storms defy all preparation. When a shocking hyperspace disaster tears a ship to pieces, the resulting shards of the disaster threaten an entire system. The Jedi rush to the scene when the call for help arrives, yet the scope of the emergency pushes them to their limit.
