When the small village of Thelin is attacked by dragons one night, nothing led the family of the peasant Hipparchus to foresee the consequences it would have. Alerted by the count's call to aid the village, he and his eldest son Roque fall into an ambush set by orcs. Unable to understand what is happening, all the young men of the village are forced to join this ruthless group of warriors who, under the orders of the human king Khron, are forcing all the counts of his kingdom to hand over young humans to be used as labor in the capital, after a strange madness wiped out a good part of its citizens.
