Magia robada (La Ley del Milenio 1)

Having captivated legions of readers worldwide with her sagas "The Black Magician Trilogy" and "The Traitor Spy Trilogy," Trudi Canavan returns with her most enthralling adventure yet, the first installment of "The Millennium's Rule" series: Thief's Magic.

Forget everything you thought you knew about magic...

When, in an empire where the industrial revolution is powered by magic, archaeology student Tyen unearths an ancient book, the door to a realm of mystery and danger is opened. Within its pages is trapped the spirit of Vella, a sorceress whose centuries of accumulated wisdom include vital information about the coming cataclysm.

Meanwhile, young Rielle lives in a land ruled by priests where the use of magic is forbidden. However, she feels she has a talent for sorcery and knows there is someone in the city willing to teach her how to use it. Will she dare to face the wrath of the Angels to begin her magical apprenticeship?

"Aside from how the author writes, the good thing about this book is seeing how well she describes all the characters, giving them the importance they deserve and making them very real, as well as the places she describes to us."
Blog Mi tarde junto a un libro

"It has been an enjoyable and captivating book. I got into its pages from the beginning and had no trouble sympathizing with its characters."
Blog Perdida en un mundo le libros

"With each new encounter with this author, I let myself be conquered a little more by her style, her stories, and her characters, but also by two exciting worlds. I like that a female character differs from the preconceived character expected of her. Canavan makes her characters come alive in a simple, agile, and coherent way."
Blog Literature Watchers

"Thief's Magic is a promising start to a saga, with incredible descriptions and worlds. If you like the adult fantasy genre, I think it's very much worth it."
