The True Story of the Tooth Fairy
Did you know that this timeless story was invented in our country? The future King Alfonso XIII, when he was a child, noticed a tooth starting to wiggle and it filled him with dread. So his mother, the Queen Regent Maria Cristina, commissioned Luis Coloma, then a member of the Royal Spanish Academy, to write a story to calm him down. And so this fable was invented about a little mouse that not only makes teeth disappear but also shows the little future king such important values as bravery, caring for others, and generosity. In this edition, which preserves the original illustrations and text, we will discover the true story of this character who has captivated generation after generation. A classic story that explains the legend of this little mouse who sneaks into all our homes and warms our hearts. |
